Holy Anne Pena

Holy Anne Pena (she/her) is a former Research Assistant with the Infant and Child Mental Health Lab. She is currently working on her Undergraduate Specialized Honours Thesis in collaboration with Dr. Bohr. She is grateful for the opportunity to learn from Inuit youth and communities in Nunavut. Her research interests include adolescent mental health, anxiety, depression, and suicide intervention. She is passionate about reducing cultural barriers and giving young people a safe space to celebrate their identity. Holy Anne aspires to empower at-risk youth to seek balance, hope, and resilience in their lives. After her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, she plans to pursue a Master’s in Social Work or in Counselling, with a focus on children and their families. She is also dedicated to helping young people discover creative outlets for self-expression. She hopes to one day combine her love for art and therapy in seeking interventions for those in need.
